Focalune Privacy Policy
Developer and scope
Focalune (com.damra.focusapp) is a focus timer and task manager developed by Altuğ Nuri ASLANTAŞ. Contact: ofis2ateam@gmail.com. This policy covers the Android app. Last updated: 6 October 2026.
Information processed on your device
Tasks, subtasks, projects, folders, tags, notes, due dates, reminders, repeat settings, focus records, goals and statistics are processed locally. Tasks and focus records use a SQLCipher encrypted database. App settings, your optional local profile name and photo, Strict Mode selections and signed purchase receipts use private app storage. These records are not uploaded to a developer server. Android cloud backup is disabled for app data; manufacturer device-transfer behavior may vary.
Accounts and network services
This release has no account registration, sign-in, cloud sync or shared groups. The 3D garden and background sounds are bundled in the app. Premium prices, purchases, acknowledgment and restoration use Google Play Billing. Google processes payment and purchase information under its own privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Focalune receives product and purchase status, purchase tokens and signed receipts to manage Premium access; it does not receive card numbers. We do not operate an account or purchase verification server. An optional system text-to-speech engine is used for timer voice reminders; that engine operates under its provider’s settings and policies.
Permissions and their purposes
Notifications show timer progress and task reminders. Wake lock, boot reception, foreground service and, on supported Android versions, exact alarms keep user-started timer sessions and reminders working. Display over other apps supports the floating timer and Strict Mode lock overlay. Usage access identifies foreground apps for the apps you choose to block. Notification access allows Strict Mode to dismiss notifications from selected apps. These accesses are used on-device; Focalune does not upload app-usage or notification contents. Selected package identifiers are saved locally as settings. Camera access is optional and only used for a profile photo through the system camera. The system photo picker grants access to the image you select, not your entire library. Storage permission is limited to Android 9 and earlier for saving shared reports/images. Battery guidance may open system settings; the app does not request a direct battery-optimization exemption. Permissions can be refused or revoked in Android settings; related optional functions may then be unavailable.
Advertising, analytics and sharing
Starting with versionCode 4, the free edition uses Google AdMob for banner, interstitial and optional rewarded ads. The earlier versionCode 3 release does not include AdMob. Premium access suppresses ad requests and displays. Completing an optional rewarded ad grants five hours of local Premium access; start and expiry times are stored on your device without creating a subscription. The Google Mobile Ads SDK can collect and share IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device identifiers including advertising ID and app set ID, ad/app interactions and diagnostics for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Ad requests use encrypted connections. Tasks, notes, profile photos, Strict Mode app selections and notification contents are not supplied to AdMob by Focalune. We do not include Firebase Analytics or another analytics provider. Google User Messaging Platform checks applicable privacy requirements before ads can be requested; where required, an advertising privacy choices entry is available under Me. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily disable all ads; Google may serve non-personalized or limited ads where permitted. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Google handles advertising data under its privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and advertising data controls. We do not sell personal information or automatically upload tasks or profile data. If you choose to share a report or image, Android sends the selected content to the app you choose. A shared image may also be saved in DCIM/Focalune. The recipient app handles it under its own policy. Google Play and Android system services operate separately from the developer.
Support and the privacy website
If you email support, your email address, message and attachments are received through our email provider and used to respond to you. Do not include payment credentials or unnecessary personal information. Visiting this public privacy page sends normal web request information, such as your IP address and browser information, to the website hosting service. This is separate from the locally stored task data in the Android app.
Retention, deletion and security
Local records remain until you delete the relevant records, clear Focalune storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. Removing the app does not cancel a Google Play plan or delete Google’s transaction records. Shared files outside private app storage may remain; delete them separately using your device’s file manager or gallery. Purchase records are refreshed from Google Play; reinstallation may restore eligible purchases using the same Play account. Support correspondence is kept for responding to and following up on your request; email us to request deletion, subject to any records required by law. The app uses private storage and database encryption; no security measure provides an absolute guarantee. Google advertising data has separate retention and privacy controls; clearing Focalune does not delete Google advertising records.
Children and changes
The app does not request a birth date or create child accounts. A parent or guardian may contact us regarding any personal information sent to support by a child. When the app’s data practices change, this policy and its update date will be revised.
